The Karel Komárek Family Foundation will join the fourth annual School as a Meeting Place conference as a partner. One of this year's featured topics will be the Garden Standards, whose development was actively supported by the Karel Komárek Family Foundation. Participants will learn how school gardens can serve not only as outdoor spaces, but also as fully fledged learning environments that foster education, discovery and a deeper connection with the surrounding world.

Building on the success of its three previous editions, the conference will once again bring together school representatives, educators and experts from across the field. Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to explore inspiring examples, expert perspectives and practical experiences from different areas of education. This year's theme is more than just the conference motto. It reflects the programme's central question: how can we create schools that are meaningful for children, educators and school leaders alike?

The conference will feature six thematic strands running in parallel, the presentation of the Principal of the Future competition results, and an accompanying programme that will provide opportunities for networking and exchanging everyday professional experiences.

The conference will take place in Prague on 6 October 2026. Detailed information about the programme and registration can be found on the conference website.
