Thanks to the project, families in difficult financial situations can receive support of up to CZK 1,500 in the form of three vouchers worth CZK 500 each. These vouchers can be used for extracurricular and leisure activities – clubs, camps, equipment, or necessary materials. Parents only need to prove that they receive certain benefits such as child allowance, care allowance, or foster parent remuneration.
“In the first semester of the 2025/2026 school year, we will support at least 2,000 children, distributing CZK 3 million among them. However, we believe that thanks to our donors, the total number of supported children may double,” says Ondřej Šejtka, Head of the Office of the Czech Council of Children and Youth.
The Czech Council of Children and Youth runs this project with the support of First Lady Eva Pavlová. More than 2,000 providers are involved, offering over 25,000 activities, with sport, education at primary art schools, activities in youth centres, and programmes of organisations such as the Scouts or firefighters being the most prominent.
In addition to KKFF, other major organisations and companies contribute to the funding of the project: Sazka a.s., the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, the Eva Pavlová Endowment Fund, and others. Public institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the City of Prague, are also involved. Individual donors can contribute via the platform darujme.cz.
“At the foundation, we are proud that together with our partners we enabled the creation of the Supporting Activities for Children project and that we can support it in the long term. Attending clubs, where children acquire new skills together with their friends, is just as important for their development as attending school. Whether it is sport, art activities, exploring nature, or playing a musical instrument, no children should be left out of extracurricular activities simply because they cannot afford them,” says Luboš Veselý, KKFF Director.
A survey of 947 parents showed that the financial support significantly reduced household expenses. Without contributions from the project, 69% of parents would not have sufficient funds for the extracurricular activities their children attend. More than 20% of children would not be able to participate in any leisure activity without this support.
The new round of applications is an opportunity for families to allow their children to continue or begin with activities that develop their skills, interests, and social connections.
Applications for contributions can be submitted from 10 September 2025 at darujemekrouzky.cz.
The public collection can be supported at our website or via the darujme.cz platform.
