„Cooperation with foundations and artistic platforms means a great deal to me – not only in practical terms, but also on a human level. I greatly value my collaboration with the Karel Komárek Family Foundation. This foundation is able to create exceptionally high‑quality and inspiring opportunities, whether through masterclasses or the performances connected with them. Meeting personalities who enrich you both artistically and personally is, in my view, a wonderful opportunity to continue developing.“
About Jan Schulmeister
Jan Schulmeister is one of the outstanding talents of the emerging generation of Czech pianists. He studies at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno under the guidance of Alena Vlasáková and Jan Jiraský. He has won dozens of top prizes at international competitions, which quickly placed him among the closely watched young pianists on the European and global scene. He performs regularly at home and abroad, collaborates with orchestras, and is also active in chamber music. The KKFF Foundation supports him through its scholarship programme focused on the systematic development of young musicians.
„Thanks to the support of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation, I will also be travelling to Lucerne, Switzerland, where I will perform in concert and take part in a masterclass with Christoph Eschenbach. In February, as part of the same cooperation, I will be heading to New York as well, which represents another major and inspiring challenge for me.“
