The new application round started on 21 January 2026. Families can receive up to 60 EUR in the form of three vouchers for extracurricular activities for children aged 3 to 18. A condition is proof that the family receives selected social benefits. The total support available in this round amounts to 120,000 EUR.
Support most often goes toward sports clubs, instruction at primary art schools (ZUŠ), activities at children and youth centers, as well as programs run by organizations such as Junák (the Czech Scouts). The contribution can be used according to a family’s specific needs—for membership fees, weekend trips and training camps, or summer camps. It can also cover necessary equipment, for example backpacks or art supplies.
New And Increased Support for Families in Material Hardship
In 2026, the project is strengthening its support for families in material hardship. A total of 4,000 EUR has been set aside to support 20 children, with each child eligible to receive up to 200 EUR. The higher contribution is intended to cover not only the activity itself, but also related costs such as equipment or a summer camp, which often represents the culmination of a year‑long program.
„Supporting Activities for Children project was created in response to an identified societal problem. We apply the same approach in its further development – we consider it essential to respond continuously and effectively to current needs and systemic challenges related to improving conditions in the field of leisure activities. This focus on supporting quality and accessible leisure time has long been one of the priority areas of the Czech Council of Children and Youth.“
Support That Opens Doors
Since 2022, the project has helped more than 17,000 children and distributed over 1.12 million EUR. More than 2,000 providers have joined the initiative, offering over 25,000 activities. The year 2025 was record‑breaking, with 6,190 children from 3,049 families receiving support. Interest continues to grow, partly due to rising costs of extracurricular activities.
A ČRDM survey among parents shows that without this support, 69% of families would have to limit their children’s activities, and more than one fifth of children would not attend any activity at all. Parents report that without the contribution they would most often resort to borrowing money, usually within the family. Others would have to significantly cut back on other expenses, sometimes even basic necessities.
Project Partners
In addition to the KKFF Foundation, the project is supported by other foundations and companies, including Allwyn Czechia, the Škoda Auto Endowment Fund, the Eva Pavlová Endowment Fund, the Albatros Foundation, the Simona Kijonková Foundation, Znesnáze21, and the Gummylife e‑shop. Public institutions also contribute, specifically the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) and the City of Prague, along with hundreds of individual donors via Darujme.cz. Support sometimes takes unusual forms—for example, when actress Jitka Ježková won 3,000 EUR for the project in a television quiz show.
Applications for financial support can be submitted from 21 January 2026 via the Supporting Activities for Children website at darujemekrouzky.cz.
