Tornado in Hodonín: The Komárek Family Foundation Will Help Restore the Forest Park Area
Published: 2. september 2021
The foundation established by Štěpánka and Karel Komárek has decided how to allocate 6,195,000 EUR in financial aid following the June tornado in South Moravia. Nearly a third of the funds, roughly 2,065,000 EUR, is being quickly distributed as direct assistance to affected families. The remaining 4,132,900 EUR will be dedicated to the long‑term restoration of damaged public spaces in Hodonín. This effort will be led by Komárek’s second foundation, Proměny, which, in close cooperation with the city, will focus on the permanent transformation of four key areas in the popular suburban forest Bažantnice.
