KKFF now has three main areas of focus:
Environment. Our Transforming Cities and Transforming Gardens programmes focus on the restoration of parks, public spaces and school gardens. We want to create more beautiful and greener places for all generations. The revitalisation of Central Park is just one of the many achievements of which we are proud.
Culture and arts education. We support Czech cultural heritage and the development of young talent. Our initiatives include the Dvořák's Prague Festival and the Pianos for Schools project, which has provided 78 schools with 81 new pianos. We believe that culture and the arts are the foundation of a rich society and an inspiration for future generations.
Extraordinary help. The third pillar we focus on is financial, material and human assistance in emergency situations, where we need to respond quickly and effectively where it is most needed. In recent years, for example, we have been instrumental during the pandemic, after the tragic devastation of the tornado in Moravia, and even now during the war in Ukraine. We support those who need it most in difficult situations.
"The merger of the foundations enables us to continue our long‑term activities to transform public space, strengthen support for the Czech cultural legacy and respond effectively to extraordinary events in society," said Karel Komárek, founder and chairman of the KKFF Foundation's board of trustees.
Dana Dvořáková and Miroslav Jestřabík have been newly added to the Foundation's Board of Directors. Dana brings experience from the O2 Foundation Board of Directors and Miroslav brings new topics in the field of social responsibility. Luboš Veselý remains the director of the Foundation.
