The Traditional Bažantnice Run in Hodonín 2024

The traditional charity run to support the recovery of the Hodonín region after the tornado took place on September 27 and 28, 2024. Four routes were prepared for participants, suitable for runners, cyclists, walkers, and scooter riders.

The goal of the event was to collectively complete a route measuring 3,737 km – the same length as the borders of the former Czechoslovak Republic. Active runners, families with children, seniors, and teams of amateur athletes – such as coworkers from companies – were all welcome. This year, we also introduced a brand‑new cycling loop.
Due to popular demand, we once again prepared an illuminated night trail for children, which took place on Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
The voluntary entry fee went toward one of the projects of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation, aimed at rebuilding the children's village that was completely destroyed by the tornado in June 2021. With the financial support of the foundation, 13 brand‑new cabins and a large clubhouse with facilities will be built on the site of the original village. The new complex will include social spaces, a fire pit, and a playground for all children and adults who enjoy outdoor play.
The event was organized by the Karel Komárek Family Foundation in cooperation with AK Hodonín, Srdce PRO Hodonín, and with the support of MND and Sazka.
