About the Transformation
What we have achieved
In addition to functional facilities for children's work activities, there are further features: a rainwater tank, a wooden stage with an outdoor play kitchen, and chalkboards for drawing were created, as well as play elements in the shape of wild boars. Nearly 50 children are developing a responsible relationship with nature and the world around them in this garden with natural features. The garden also provides a space for teacher education and for local scouts.

More about the transformation
The transformation has allowed the school to now make even greater use of outdoor learning approaches that awaken children's sensitivity to life, and to support their holistic development and responsible behavior toward nature and the surrounding world. The architects designed a maze, a marble run, a fire pit, and hammocks. Fruit trees, shrubs, and a green hedge that helps reduce noise from a nearby busy road were planted in the garden. Teachers, parents, friends of the school, and the city all took part in the project.
