Masaryk Elementary and Kindergarten School in Klenčí pod Čerchovem

We assisted the school in fulfilling its long‑standing wish by supporting a significant transformation of its garden. This initiative has also helped to develop the school's successes in environmental education.

If you want to support this project, you can do so as a volunteer.

About the Transformation

What we achieved

A garden was created that cleverly plays with the broader context of the location. Klenčí pod Čerchovem is a center of Chodsko folk traditions and celebrations. Therefore, we designed the garden's zones to resemble traditional village spaces. Children play on the village green, in the courtyard, in the woodshed, by the manor pond, and in the fields beyond. Our support also involved helping to present this complex plan to the local government, parents, and the public, and we encouraged public discussion about it.

More about the transformation

The garden includes multifunctional play elements that support both leisure and educational activities for children. Poles, freely placed logs, stones, and water cascades contribute to the development of their motor skills. A sensory path promotes sensory learning, while at the manor pond, children can safely and economically play with water and enjoy muddy adventures. The entire space naturally encourages children to care for flowers and maintain order in their outdoor kingdom.
