Christian Kindergarten in Horažďovice
We meticulously designed the garden concept down to the last detail. As a result, an island full of play elements emerged, providing Horažďovice with a new space for friendly community gatherings across the generations.

What we achieved
We chose water as the main unifying theme for the renovated school garden. This element permeates the space through features like water tables and a pump. A mysterious island invites children to engage in unrestrained play and numerous water adventures, stimulating their creativity, imagination, and free movement. To support this, we enriched the garden with simple wooden play elements. The sense of togetherness was further enhanced by adding a fire pit with wooden stools for seating.

More about the transformation
The Christian Kindergarten in Horažďovice applied to the grant call announced in 2015, which was open to schools from Prague, the Plzeň Region, and the South Bohemian Region. Out of 20 applications, five schools were selected for transformation: Kindergarten Nad Kazankou (Prague 7), Kindergarten Čakovice II (Prague 9), Kindergarten Duha Soběslav, Klenčí pod Čerchovem, and the Christian Kindergarten in Horažďovice.
