The Garden of the House of Nature in Hodonín

We reassessed the original plans and supported the design of the outdoor area of the House of Nature garden. The tornado severely damaged the original greenery. In the new solution, we focus on its restoration, but at the same time carefully select the composition of trees and plants to maintain continuity with the presentation of Hodonínská Dúbrava.

About the Transformation

What we have accomplished

The new garden space was designed serve visitors to the House of Nature and also local residents for community and leisure events, with an emphasis on environmental education. The garden was given a distinctly natural look, visually and thematically connected to the adjacent building's interior.

I am glad that the garden and the House of Nature form one functional unit and that people gain new opportunities to use the space. I look forward to all the educational and community events.

More about the transformation

The garden will provide space for the outdoor exhibition of the House of Nature. Visitors will get acquainted with the values of the National Natural Monument Hodonínská Dúbrava, just as they do indoors. They will also learn about the significance of protected areas Váté písky and Hodonín ponds. The goal of the transformation is to encourage a sense of connection with nature. During the restoration, we will make maximum use of natural materials and plant native species.
