Kindergarten Nad Kazankou in Prague 7 – Troja

We approached the unique character of the garden at this historically significant family house, built during the First Republic, with sensitivity and respect. The result of our careful work with the genius loci, which delighted both children and adults, is certainly worth your attention.

About the Transformation

What we achieved

We enriched the garden of the architecturally valuable functionalist building with original play structures designed by artist Ivan Nacvalac. The tennis court, which had stood here since the First Republic, was transformed into a space where children develop comprehensively every day. The sensitive design also includes zones intended for relaxation, play, education, movement, and gatherings of people from the beautiful villa district.

More about the transformation

We helped install a wooden snake in the garden, made from a tree trunk, set up wooden water troughs, and added seating around an old linden tree. We also emphasized the natural character of the garden. This is highlighted by the number of planted trees, the neutral colors of individual play elements, the choice of materials used, the flower house, bamboo nook, and beds for growing vegetables and flowers. Additionally, a large fire pit invites community gatherings on various occasions.
