Educational Center of Kindergarten Mnichovice
At the beginning, there was a vision of a new school garden with a well‑thought‑out concept. Then we joined in and helped turn the architect's and her team's design into reality. This is how a new world of play, learning, and gathering was born—one that the local community, and especially the children, instantly fell in love with.

The garden of Mnichovice Kindergarten is an inspiring space for play, discovery, experimentation and work that allows children to take valuable risks. Children can observe nature, care for animals and learn to cooperate with each other.
The school garden serves as a fully‑fledged outdoor classroom where all educational activities (physical, artistic and those that promote children's intellectual understanding) take place, according to the educational programme. The garden is also a meeting place for parents and the wider community.
Mnichovice Kindergarten works closely with parents, the primary school, the founder, and other organisations. It emphasises sustainability — whether in the care of the greenery or in the use of water through a pond, catchment tanks, water feature or well.
As an educational centre, they try to pass all this on to other professionals and actors in education.

„I have been the director of the kindergarten since 2015. In this position I use my experience from the local government, state administration, and the private sector. Together with the whole school team we have transformed the garden. This would not have been achieved without the enthusiasm, change of mindset and attitude of the whole team into a collaborative and supportive unit. I am delighted that we are taking the learning, activities and activities within the school curriculum out into the garden and into the countryside. We are thus giving the children enough stimulus for their all‑round development.“

What we have done
We have generated lasting enthusiasm from staff, the founder, parents and children. The transformation harmoniously combines the school's requirements for sustainability with the demands for an inspiring environment in which children can develop in all ways. The garden provides conditions for creative play, exploration of nature, collaboration and experimentation.

More about the transformation
The new garden reflects the motif of the railway, which is one of the city's landmarks. That is why the kindergarten gave its efforts the apt name ‘Next Station: The Mnichovice Kindergarten’. The track runs through the large garden space, connecting nine themed stops. The stations feature play elements such as rope climbing frames and a large sandpit with several logs. The generously designed terrain allows all 150 children attending the nursery to find natural hiding places, vantage points, and space to play independently.
